Has anyone used it to good effect on any of their builds I've just read a feature in custom car where someone has built a very cool hot wheels type bubble top car and used chrome paint on some of the running gear and it don't look bad.

This has been covered before.most chrome paint you can buy in cans kind of gives a chrome effect when first sprayed on,but will dull when you laquer it.The only paint i know of that you can laquer over is called Sparkling glass basecoat by Lechlers. It is VERY thin and needs lots of coats.oh..and its £80 a litre!were you thinkin of painting a frame? :daumenhoch:

Ok cheers not a frame but i have some hazard light rims and the chrome has bubbled up and thought paint may be a cheap fix ;)

chrome powder just goes dull.. same as paint like Deeman says.
no real quick fix :(

That stuff mclaren use seems to work a treat

could try sanding the chrome off and polishing them? :-\ :daumenhoch:
