Title: how much does a pair of 24" Skyways weigh?
Post by: jimwise68 on October 01, 2012, 10:41 AM: Was wondering how much a pair of the new 24" Skyway wheels weight?

Comparing them to a pair of spoke wheels and dont know how much they weigh. Anybody got some they can weigh or know already?

Im looking at some spoke wheels but they weigh 1249g front and 1084g for the front :-[
Mind you they have are built up for a mountain bike so the hubs are for a cassette and they have skewers. Hopefully BMX size hubs may bring the weight down.

Mind you they have are built up for a mountain bike so the hubs are for a cassette and they have skewers. Hopefully BMX size hubs may bring the weight down.

Get the drill out and create some bespoke Pro Class rims. You know it makes sense. :D

You can recreate that RIDING WITH SKYWAYS feel by loosening all your spokes and filling your tyres with lead :daumenhoch:
