Cheers pal.....looking forward to seeing the end result. ;)
-
:daumenhoch: me too ::)
-
Looking forward to seeing this Roger!you may want to give it a spray with some matt laquer after you put the decals on to make sure everything stays in place a bit better. If you can't get it made up in a can,buy a 1/4 litre of matting agent and take it to your bodyshop-they should be able to throw it in with some laquer and give the seat a blast. :daumenhoch:

Next is another coat, 3 days to dry, a T-Cut, Deacals, then maybe Laquer. :daumenhoch:
-
Will it dry that glossy or is it just cos its wet? Needs knocking back to a matt/satin if it dries glossy :daumenhoch:
-
will dry a bit more dull, then ill t cut the shiny bits :daumenhoch:
-
Just started raining,,, Bollockin time........

I wouldnt put t-cut anywhere near it Roger.Looks fantastic as is if a little shiny.I would apply the decals and get it blown over with matt laquer to dull it down and make the finish uniform.T-cut will get you in trouble in this instance,it's all about the laquer.see if you can buy matt laquer in a can,if not get your local bodyshop to do it. :daumenhoch:
-
Cheers, ill do exactly that, nice one for the advice :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

E.g- oven pride/brasso/dylons/spray paint.... >:D

Has anyone thought about using the vinyl they use for car-wraps on bike seats when dyeing isn't an option. There's less chance of it cracking or lifting as paint might and the seat should remain in pretty good condition should you decide to remove it. I'm pretty sure off-cuts of vinyl would be available for next to nowt.

Yeah was quite a score this. Bagged it for £68 delivered from the US!
Been tracking it for a couple of weeks....and according to USPS was still in America yesterday!
But it turned up safe today. It's a minter. Well it should be, it's NOS.
Well made up...it's proudly sat next to my NOS Baby Blue one as we speak.
