Well guys,
Keep seeing all the young guns riding with LARGE bars, heard the help for air etc etc etc, is there really any advantage? Maybe a bit more knee space but anything else or is it just looking Cool :D
-
Part fashion, part necessity due to modern bikes high BBs.
Ride what feels right mate :daumenhoch:
-
I love seeing kids who are 5' tall with big wide bars .......... and then ride holding them 3" in from the bar ends ;D
-
There's a lad at my local track with a KHE maceto which has a real low standover height and the seatpost tube is only 7", he has a set of Perfect 10's in it, and as diggler says his little hands are practically holding the cross bar of them!!

All my bikes have the same bars , S&m perfect 10
I'm a big lad and that's how I roll :D
-
anything above "8.5 is pure fashion.

part necessity due to modern bikes high BBs.
So a bike with a BB that is a few mm higher needs Bars that are a few inches higher to level it out?? :LolLolLolLol:
-
Ideal to put ya twist grip on
-
Well I'm must say my riding has improved a lot since fitting my top loader and proper ttxl bars I can hop a lot higher and I feel like I have a lot more control:)
-
I can't frikkin help holding me bars near the cross-bar - I blame getting used to cut-downs fifteen years ago.....

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
In all seriousness, my LTF was no more than 0.3" higher in the BB than the frame before it, but I could easily have run bars an inch or more higher on it.
-
it used to be.....
"I run my cut down primo moes bars because I feel like the pull-up is more focused so I can hop higher and have more control"
-
narrow bars are for tools !!

That'll be me when I try those bars you sent me :LolLolLolLol:
-
i never could ride with narrow bars.
i could never ride :uglystupid2:.
i always felt more stable in the air with wider bars.
just me though :)
-
Big wide bars are for real men.....fact! :)
-
My 28" x 8" slam bars are starting to look small :D
-
After years of not running anything wider than 25" I've now worked My way up to 27" & can't see any point in going any wider!

S&Ms new Enduro stem makes your bars even higher!
(Im not gunna tell Hoder that big bars are wrong! :-X)
Not a valid vimeo URL
-
That Enduro looks lovely & there's some real craftmanship gone into it, but there's a lump missing from the top cap!
-
Might get myself a set of these, my riding can't get any worse :2funny: The sad thing is I'm probably too old now for it to get much better :'( :(
Whats a good set to get started on?
