Mrs Ratty, Mattdub and myself attended Pete Kirks funeral today. It was a fitting tribute to a true gentleman, A dad of a racer, a racer himself and the MC for many a race, including a good few radbashes. The service was great and he would have loved it!
The floral tribute from us at RAD was taken to the crem, but with Mrs Kirks permission we then took it to the track at MK.
That was in itself a mission as the track is under a foot of water. Mrs Ratty was the only one out of six who braved the foot deep water to lay the RAD wreath on the start hill.
RIP Pete, really a true gentlemen. :'(

Pete was a proper sound human being. Always a smile and always time for everyone. Glad you and Mrs R could be present, wish I could have made it.
Won't ever forget that man. And all the memories are good. :)

It was a great send off for a great man , Nikki ( Mrs Ratty ) was great with a reading of the words put together by Nick ( Gashead ) and also wading through the water to put the RAD flowers on the start hill at the MK track ;) .
