rare, expensive, and exotic..yes,but probably for the wrong reasons.I'm not too sure about this, kinda like a thrown together freestyler-a race frame with a gusset and a coaster bracket.I vaguely remember them.I'm sure you will make it look lovely Adam,it will be interesting to see how it comes together.Have you got an orange chequered shotgun for it yet?! :daumenhoch:

My thoughts too.....

I like those frames though. Martin Aparijo designed it during his brief GhP spell.

I kinda agree, Damo, it does seem to be a bit of a lazy attempt at a Freestyler, sort of a Friday afternoon project.  ;D
I love it though and built right (like the pic Tom posted above or the way James Tobin built his) it will look awesome. (I hope).

I can't find much info on these at all but as far as I can tell the 1st batch of Trix did not come with pegged forks.

Thanks for all the comments chaps, bit of a Marmite one by the looks of it. :D

nice haul Adam...

Ive got to speak to him again soon Matt so I'll ask him for you. :daumenhoch:

It did seem like a long wait for this one Ash but well pleased with it.
I've seen loads of ESP stems and they all seem to be fairly lightly engraved / stamped plus it's a bit grubby and yes, my photography skills leave a lot be desired.  ;D

Hey Adam - been meaning to comment since I saw this thread, nice score matey, think you know I've had this one under wraps all year:

Also scored mine off Neil, last December, a nice og chrome one supplied with a set of the correct NOS decals (they're in the cave somewhere). I think mine may be very slightly earlier than yours (could be wrong) as I seem to have the earlier decals. Only nightmare I'm having is sourcing the bits I want for it. The bars, stem, headset, and seatpost clamp currently on it aren't destined for it, I've just popped them on for mock up purposes at the mo. the Command post is staying and other than that I've currently only sourced some box cranks and a nice epoch. Those aside I'm still hunting. A few bits have turned up this year but it's always coincided with somewhen when my wifey or kids have been hitting me for expenses  :'( . Oldest went off to uni this year, man that's expensive. Mind you the bits I'm hunting aren't on the cheap side - hope the esp's not destined for yours or we could end up with near twins  ;) Funny thing is I nearly went for Ian's log bars too when he had that on the bay of a short while.

Agree with you on James's (Tobin) one, quality (it was Rockford 07 when that first showed up), now give me that dodgy rear hub you've got on your trickstar, I have a home for it  ;)

As for:

you're correct, they made a pre-production batch early 84 with no fork pegs, by the time they went into production, later 84 and 85 they'ed added the pegs. There's a interview with Martin A on the web somewhere about it all, I stumbled over it earlier this year, just didn't bookmark it, and now cant find it, doh.

I would say I'll race you to a build off but I know you'll smash me on that one. I was hoping to show it off at MK12 but the way I'm going it'll be MK32 and I'll be towing it behind a zimmer frame.

Did you keep those monkey bars? BTW  there's a Galindo floating around at the mo if you're still looking for one  :daumenhoch:

Catch up soon :daumenhoch:

Pete

yes matey, got an ad somewhere, it's either on my works puter or my laptop's old trashed hard drive that I've been meaning to repair for the last few months, I'll have a route around and try to post within a couple of days.
