Hi Guys,
Has anyone on here ever built any Peregrine Crazy 95's?
Im really considering making my own out of a 48 spoke rim by drilling an extra hole between each existing one....Although initially i wont be butchering a pair of peregrines (just incase it goes a bit pete tong) :LolLolLolLol:
Has anyone got any photos of their builds and/or any info on the best hubs to use? I know im going to have to work out the pcd for the second row on a pretty high flange 48 so info would be ace :)
Cheers boyo's :LolLolLolLol:

if you drill them wrong the chrome will lift off in small chunks.

I was thinking of going for a decent none chrome rim, drilling the holes and then having them anno'd or polished to save any chrome problems.
I take it the holes on the rim cant be offset to one another and have to therefore be inline and radial laced? What hubs would be the best donors for the operation? ;D
......Unless of course you wanna do me a deal on a certain set ;)

They look awesome!! I take it they are Peregrine hubs? Did you drill out a pair of 48's? :)
-
the old ones are suzue hubs but the same hub basically
you could buy them off the shelf years back.

Are they Suzue 48 hubs with an additional ring of holes drilled?
-
yes the hole is between 2 but further away and regular 48h
remember not to drill 1 as the valve is in the way of having 96h
or youll have 1 hole on your hub with no spoke in it.

Good idea Ed :) ....Im looking forward to doing this now :)

looking forward to seeing it done :daumenhoch: not since the mid 90's has such tinkering been considered :daumenhoch: :LolLolLolLol:
do you gain any strength by doing this to a 48, i thought that a well built 48 hole double skin rim was effectively a solid wheel any how , or is it used for single skin rims? wouldn't a rework or rather copy of the Truck conversion be easier to achieve .................. mmmmmmmmmmmmm right spanners out :LolLolLolLol:

i struggle to lace a 48 up :crazy2:
