Ok..... Now I can appreciate that im probably gonna be shot down in flames over this :LolLolLolLol:
Ive got a bit of an obsession at the moment for mounting some mega spoke'd wheels on one of my builds (one that wont be rode hard anyway so mainly a looks thing).
Im looking at going down the route of building my own crazy 95's anyway and the same time as searching, came across this pic on the museum:
Has anyone ever fitted any of these as im seriously considering a set to get it out of my system :)

They crack like buggery around the spoke holes fella - just get some wheel discs and draw a load of lines on them, you get the look without the breakage - much safer :D

Is that why in the pic he looks a bit nervous about putting all his weight on the back wheel? :LolLolLolLol:
Yep I understand what you mean dude, it'd certainly be a shame to spend a fair chunk of dosh and then get to bottom of the road to find that 20 spokes have made and exit through the tube and tyre lol.
Maybe I could just get a set and push the bike around instead :2funny:

No, they were mine, 72 spoke and although I got the piss taken out of me big time for them, I thought they looked wicked.
Pooch loved them too. :LolLolLolLol:

It must take ages to lace 144 spokes...

10 minutes if your fingers are as nimble as mine :LolLolLolLol:
....Although maybe 4 hours to tighten and true them ;D

If it's for a NS bike, you could look even more rediculous and use 5 spoke wheels ;)

A couple of years ago at MK Joe "Rakas17" had a set of 144's on his Gen1 and some lad took it for a launch off the top of the trick ramp on the helipad..... didn't hear any bangs or pops when he landed, but I was seriously wasted at the time......
Have a look see if it's in "me & my bikes" or maybe one of the photo threads from MK 2011 or 2010...... ???
