O/S completes do sell but I think its clearly obvious that the parts sell easier just by looking at the for sale thread.  A person will list a complete.....no takers on it maybe because of the price but everyone dib dobs the parts in pre anticipation that the bike will be split.....A lot of the time it does get split but thats the nature of the game, a lot of people need the parts to be able to finish their projects.

My last sell on here was a complete 83 Mongoose Cali Special for about £600 delivered, i had no takers so i decided to split, i sold the lot within about 24hrs and made a fraction under £900 for it.

Yep, it was a pain in the arse splitting and wrapping but the ££££'s were worth it in the end.

Most completes, unless they are factory spec, will be the builders own outlook on the bike. It will be very hard to find someone who would actually like to own it as you have built it. Most people will buy parts off it, as said, to add to their own builds.

Also, most completes are very expensive so, for me anyways, it would have to warrant me not changing a thing, which, unfortunately, doesn't really happen (unless it's something I may have unearthed that is super rare and not on the registry  :daumenhoch: )

Couldn't give my Dyno away on here, raffled it on Faecesbook using a bonus system to pick the winner. Sold all numbers within 48hours, got what I wanted for the bike and raised £110 for the Macmillan Nurses. :daumenhoch:

I've sold 3 completes on here, but to be fair they were f'ing cheap if you totalled the value of the parts. I don't have time to fanny about with parting out and the post office is a 12 mile round trip for starters!

Blummin hell is that what you did with your Dyno in the end?  That sounds a really good idea!!  And a really nice gesture to Macmillan too.....Fair play!!  I looked at it several times but as much as I wanted it, just couldnt afford it :( .....I would have took my chance on the raffle though :)

Worth a punt for a tenner Gav, I thought it would take weeks to sell them all, I was overwhelmed with punters wanting a go.  :daumenhoch:

Just ten of the Queens finest Rich, for nearly £500 notes worth of bike. The lad that won it lost his job a week layer too. :daumenhoch:

Yeah it sure is for a tenner Dan....That only just gets you a brake cable or a pair of wheel nuts in the grand scheme of things!! lol.  How does the random number picker work?  Is it a facebook thing or do you do the old "out of a hat" type scenario?

Bit of a consolation prize for him then so a deserving winner.

I didn't buy a ticket even though I love that bike, but I was still intrigued to see it unfold. Beat X-factor hands down :LolLolLolLol:

I made £390 which is what I wanted for the bike, and donated £100, and a fellow Rad member threw in an extra tenner for the charity. :Great_Britain:
