Thats interesting, I thought it was only Mr Muscle that would remove anno.  :daumenhoch:

Can you leave it in too long, as I know Mr Muscle can wreck your part if left?  :-\

Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda) is the ingredient in Mr Muscle that strips the anno. Difference is, is you can buy a shed load of Caustic for the same price as one lot of Mr Muscle :)

Do dia-compe levers have plastic washers? How does the ovenpride/caustic soda react with them?

It won't harm most plastics, but you have to be careful with alloy,to long and any threads e.g. Stems & levers will be eaten :daumenhoch:

Nuts to using Caustic soda indoors  :uglystupid2: the fumes outdoors are bad enough. I don't even use Oven pride indoors.

Caustic will also remove the flesh from your bones, so be careful you crazy kids. Ad caustic to water and not the other way round. If you make a strong mix, it takes seconds to remove and if left too long will dissolve your part.
