Title: Old Bones
Post by: RATTY on November 20, 2012, 07:49 PM
For the last few weeks my hips have been killing me. I look and feel like an old man. I have trouble getting out of bed. The mission to get into the bath and bed is something else. Is this something brought on by all the riding or should I see the Drs about it?
Its driving me nuts every minute of the day right now!

My knees and elbows are knackered. Back's just started giving me jip of late too.

I'm in bad shape though which don't help.

I creak like fook when I'm not doing any sort of exercise, but then when I get too fat to button me jeans up & hit the gym I loosen up & the old bones stop aching.

I reckon when I'm a flabby cnut the bones are taking a hit.

Probably is worth speaking to the doctor for a general chat.
Most of us have old injuries and wear and tear - Greg is right, the fitter and more healthy you are, the easier it is, ie better posture, good muscle tone to support the joints etc etc (very important for knees, lower back).
I know that I'm a fine one to talk but I know the fitter I am the better I feel and the easier my life is.

Additionally loose weight if necessary...! It wont help your joints if you have to carry excess fat.
