Looking at a Mongoose stamped crank and there seem to be more TPI (Threads per inch) than the standard crank ? can any one confirm this ???
and does any one have a spare locking nut (the hex looking one) for a mongoose crank
cheers B ;)

most early mongoose are 28tpi as against 24tpi

Yep. 28tpi not 24tpi Andy. Same as early dimple spindle Flight BB.
On US eBay you can get a Schwinn 28ti BB for $13 but then it needs postage.

might be the only way to go if no one can help me out
It was doing my bloody head in trying to work out what the fook was going on :crazy2: ;D

I had the same trouble last year untill I found out they were 28tpi. I put an ad in the wanted section for a 28tpi bb and got one from there :daumenhoch:

They fit 401s so they are rarer than the 24tpi

I'm hoping Webbie will have it some where, as he took it apart in the first place - but his filing and storing of parts is not the best ::) ;D

I'm sure its around here somewhere :daumenhoch:
