Title: xmas 1984
Post by: chubby on November 29, 2012, 09:59 PM
my mum rang today she'd been in the loft looking for some old pics "I've found something in an envelope marked xmas 1984 that you'd like" she said......
popped in after work & foooook me it's the list i wrote when i was 13 for my freestyler !!!!!!!!!!!

i couldn't believe it when i saw it, all the parts listed & priced up !! must have taken me ages....
it never got built up this way, obviously 2 paper rounds didn't pay well enough ! i just ended up using bits i could beg, borrow or swap ( not steal )....
quite a difference between my 13 year old & 40 year olds self that finally rebuilt it...

Richard!!your challenge should you choose to accept it!!!-You have GOT TO now tweak that bike to the exact spec which you desired in 1984!!no ifs,no buts!!You owe it to yourself! You need to lose that stem and that 'orrible seat anyway!!DO IT!!DO IT!!It would be soooooo cool.My first build is still evolving a year on!If only prices were the same now! :daumenhoch:

Great thread.  :4_17_5:

I think you should re-do the list, but put in today's prices.  It would be good to see the differences.  :daumenhoch:
