Buy the black halfords pedals that are in the dx style. They are around £13 and are a straight swap. :daumenhoch:

Bit of a long shot but I dont suppose this trick would work for Peregrine platforms would it Stu? I was thinking of making some you see :daumenhoch:

Take yours out and measure them. Sketch a pic of the shape and the measurements. Then we can have a look for spindles that are similar. :daumenhoch:
-
You can also buy inserts for cranks that convert 9 1/6" to 1/2"
But I have never used them. :daumenhoch:

similar to a helicoil?

Top man! Would be a nice easy bit of kit for quite a few Radsters if it worked well :daumenhoch:

For Perry's they'll work - you do need to trim off (with a Dremel) the last three threads on the new axles to get them to fit though. Done it a load of times :)

I'm not sure if these were the ones I found before. :daumenhoch:
As you can see they ain't cheap.

Ah cheers for the link Stu :)
It looks as though the final thread is 1/2" to fit an OPC....ultimately allowing you to use a 9/16th on an OPC.....really nice idea if they'd done it the other way round, although i guess it would extend the pedals from the crank arms quite a bit by the look of it.

The thread on that is bsp. Ie British standard piping!! Not the same as your cranks or pedals. Besides one side is left hand threaded. ;D

bsp, i remember that bugger of a thread, one of the hoses went on my lancia delta years ago, had a nightmare tryin to find the right bit! :daumenhoch:

Never ride with them. They screw into the crank and the pedal screws into them, they extend the length of the pedal axle creating a breakpoint and moving your pedal line out. Handy if you knock your ankles and the crank boss and have a good dentist.
