Yeah it is paint but i think its quite convincing non?  :-\

Anyway, after looking into gold paints for a while i discovered a thread on some random movie props site where a guy had made his own c3po costume. The gold paint he used was very convincing and turned out to be plasticote brilliant metallic  :daumenhoch:

The guy added a distressed finish on top of the plasticote

Final note for any of you archive searchers in the future  ;)

This paint takes fookin ages to fully dry. Touch dry in a few hours but 4 days in and it will still mark if i rest the parts on anything textured  :'(
