Sorry folks not being done this year.

Year after year, people say they want them, we get them done, and half the people that say yes don't bother paying !

I am looking at 2012's Calendar right now; it sits next to my Laptop Docking Station in the office. Gutted there won't be one in 2013.   :'(

Surely with so many online calendar ordering options it would be possible for us to put a calendar together and then just order them on demand? People pay up front and then we just print that number of calendars? That way there is no risk to the site owners of holding stock. Just a thought.

From your sketches I can see impressionist artist’s influences

I would say you gain your inspiration from the likes of Edgar Degas and Perrie - Au Renoir

With a pauchant for the fluidity of Claud Monet's stokes an interpretation of the subject

Actually should be able to get them pretty cheap, had a look and can get a desktop one done for a few quid at vista print

Would be nice to put a couple of quid in the rad coffers too

Griff and I have decided to team up and bring you the RADBMX 2013 Calendar.  :daumenhoch:

Griff is our genius artist in residence - as you have all no doubt witnessed - and will be transforming this year's BOTMs into his own beautiful artistic interpretations.  :smitten:

As the originator of this daftness I will manage order taking, monies and postage.

As soon as we have sorted prices and format etc. I will pop a post up in the For Sale Section with details and timings. Griff will need to await winner of the December BOTM before we can complete, and will here on in be keeping the splendour of his artistic bent under wraps, but you have seen the teasers so you know what quality to expect.  :4_17_5:

I trust you will support our little venture, which will hopefully generate some surplus funds towards MK13?  :daumenhoch:

Thanks,

Just one thing Rich, this has been in no way endorsed by the owners of Rad so I'm going to have to come up with an alternative title
If you think it can be used to generate some funds for MK though then I'm well up for that

had a little forage around on the vistaprint site - seems that there are some discounts for multiples (bonus) and that the actual calendar part can also be customised to a degree so that I could add in custom dates for our events  :daumenhoch: (no diving dates Rich, since these all seem to occur on BMX outings)

Obviously this needs to be done sooner rather than later so please reply here or send me a PM with any DEFINITE event dates you have - going to find out now when Cologne Masters is next year

Carl - I can't put 'at the Bowling Green' for every day either

Just keep an eye on the thread  :daumenhoch:
Hopefully will have Jan - Mar done soon but still need to wait for the results of December and bike of the year (so I can do the cover pic) would also be nice to be able to include dates for MK etc which I don't think are confirmed yet
I don't have a paypal account but Rich Clean is kindly handling the admin side once we're ready to take zee orders

Wondering what style of calendar people prefer?
Personally I like the desk-style, but what about a traditional hanging-style? Feedback welcome

Desk-style would look a bit like the one below and stand up like a tent

Can see them better on here

cheers mate  :daumenhoch:

Our resident diving expert and ramp-dodger Mr Clean will be taking pre-orders for these from Monday. Expect they will be a fiver each but he'll confirm this
As soon as December and 2012 overall winners are announced I'll get the final pages ready and we're good to go  :daumenhoch:
These are going to be done in one (limited) run, paid in advance only so he knows exactly how many to order. THERE WON'T BE ANY SPARE COPIES

Cost includes a bit on top to cover post but 100% of any 'profit' will go straight to the Radbmx.co.uk coffers, the more we sell the more we raise

hope you enjoy looking at them half as much as I did doing them  :)

griff

ok peeps, december done  :daumenhoch:
just got BOTY to go now  :D

Rich - just noticed on the vistaprint site that the calendar price is 'for a limited time only'
Probably best not to start the for sale thread until we know for sure how much it will cost when we actually come to print these...

Little update - I just called vistaprint to see what's going to happen to their prices after the 'sale' ends
Looks like they might be prepared to do a deal so hoping to still use them for the printing - just need to have everything done beforehand

So as soon as we have an overall winner for BOTY I will get my crayons out and finish the cover  :2gunsfiring_v1:
If you have any confirmed events or other noteworthy dates you want to put in the date section give me a shout ASAP

We'll get a thread together to take orders as soon as we can but since we need to act fast and get the best price we can only order these in one go
Hope that's ok with everyone?

hugs

griff

Good work Griff me ol flower, you are a star for putting this together.

As soon as the BOTY classes voting is over, I will put together the overall winner poll asap and only run it for 3 days so you can get your work started as soon as possible.

perfect Sean - I reckon that we can have just a few days after that to collect the moneys up front and then we can put the order in
would love to just get the thing ordered straight away but based on previous years doesn't look like everyone that says they want stuff actually pays in the end

I'm going to have one though, I might even sign it so it's worth more  ;D

My birthday's the 21st of January and I am special.......does that count  ???

if you promise to buy one then I'll put it in, so far I've nothing else in for that day (anything to encourage a sale!)

Btw just noticed you blanked out your middle name, what's all that about?

I'm named after my God Father who after throwing himself out of his bedroom window believing he was on fire spent 11 years in a mental hospital after his release spent a week living in his garage as the house was telling him to do so.

them moved to Ireland wrote several well respected books on fishing, but unfortunately ended up living on top of his caravan as he believed the caravan was possessed, before my dad went over to bring him back to England and spend the rest of his days in the nut house

And people wonder why I have issues this was one of my dad's more "normal" friends  :daumenhoch:

Sorry Rich, that's the only size I could find lying around at work and I didn't have time to get to a shop AND send them out
I originally planned to put some haribo in the packets, but figured that sweets and johnnies might look like a bit of a 'paedo kit'
Especially when combined with a little book of brightly coloured childish drawings of kids' bikes  :D

Anyway I'm assured these are a snug fit
