Title: old school bmxer newbie
Post by: PaintedJay41 on December 18, 2012, 03:39 PM
At 41 years young I thought I was to old , but I remembered what my friend who is no longer with us would have said to me and that is enjoy it . I know if he was still here he would be wanting to ride with me . I am going to build a custom bike but it has been so long and riding has changed a lot since I last did it ( 1994 ) that I am a novice again and will need to learn again . I was just wondering if there were any other 40+ year old riders in the essex area that are still riding . Would love to chat with them if there are . I look forward to reading your posts

Hi fella !!
Enjoy your build and spending lots of  your hard earned !!  My top tip is build your custom for  rides out  and posing on  but get a new school  bike for riding  at the skatepark or track , that way you can get straight out on a capable  bike and take your time building the bike you really want  :)

Welcome

This site is a perfect place to use to justify riding kids' bikes at your age

1) there are plenty here older than 41
2) although you might be the 'only one in the village', thanks to the interwebs there are enough of us here to make it appear to be normal behaviour   ;D

Took me a while to come out at work, but I'm glad I did
