A few weeks ago I asked if clear red grips (jive ez) could be dyed black, no one was sure and a few said that it wouldnt work, well I tried it today and it worked

2. boiled in a pot for 10mins
3. removed let cool for 30seconds
4. boiled enough water to cover grips, added about 4 tablespoons of salt and the whole pack of rit nylon dye
5. put the grips in and let simmer on lowest heat for about an hour and a half
6. took grips out carefully and put into a pot of cold water, took out and here they are!

nice, did it soften them any as mine feel like hard plastic.
