Title: brake problem
Post by: webbie on January 02, 2013, 07:30 PM
I've been trying to find a rear brake for my 2hip pork and have tried various brakes from some of my other bikes but they all seem too hit the seat stays. What i need to know are there specific brakes for seat stay and chain stays as the ones i have used have all come off the chain stays and none work.  :(

Hmm thats definitely a strange one? The mounts havnt been ground down have they? Have you got any pics?

Have a word with munnyella....he's just built an alloy model in a thread titled "low fat pork".

Rear specific ad999 on the cromo pork, for some reason it needs more angle on the arms.

Thats what I had on it anyway, had to be set dead right too.

No probs with either of my ally ones, running the same 999 on this, but a hombre on my old one.

PM Dordymush, see what he has on his steel one, if he's got that far with it.

I'd see if your mate will let you try his first, before splashing out, the Cromo frame is a bit different to the ally one in more ways than weight!!

:daumenhoch: his pork used to be mine i'm sure i never had the evo 2 though. If you used the ad999 on it already i might as well go with that cheers

I find it quite strange about the brakes on these? Didnt realise they were so unsociable towards them  :LolLolLolLol:
