Hey,
I'm Just starting my new build & as i bought the bike nearly complete I want to use a lot of the original parts rather than buying new (as i did on my previous)
Many of the parts have been re sprayed before coming to me or are not in the best condition so (no survivor build here) so my question is would it be best to spray or powder the following items (if at all it's even possible to have these items powder coated at all) ????
Chainring
Brake Levers
Brake callipers
Stem
Thanks ! :daumenhoch:

Powder mate, it's tougher.
Send them to our very own SuperBikeDan, he's the expert in powder coating. :4_17_5:
You could always try your local firm to save on postage costs as I have done in the past, but the finish won't be the same. :daumenhoch:

To be honest all the items you mentioned should be re annodised not painted or powdered :-\ (if red, blue.gold .black or silver )
unless of course they are freestyle parts white ,pink , neon green etc :)
Paint is a finer finish than powder and more colour choice ,,,powder nice but tougher and suitable for use and riding :daumenhoch:

That's what i thought, these were all originally painted parts & have now been stripped back to bare alloy, In thinking that I'll leave the powder to the frame forks & bars !
Cheers!
