cool pic, fiola airs the same way as me and has his brake lever on the same side :) he's pulling his brake which is neccessary in a one footed air, helps stop the crank moving

i've seen a few pics of him only running a rear brake, i wonder how long he only used a rear brake or was it just on his aerial bike?

any ideas?

Heres a few more that I had on my wall as a kid. He is my hero. Almost as much as Jeff Watson. Who is better?
First bike is a Torker, not sure about the other. I do know the forks though!  ;)

I remember seeing Fiola and Dave Breed on their "world tour" in 1985.
Fiola's bike came rolling out into the arena with him running behind it in his black and white GT gear. And he did those pedal slides on his DX's.
I thought he was the coolest dude I'd ever seen!
They came to Craigavon Leisure Centre in County Armagh, along with Jess Dyrenforth and Andy Irwin (he didn't ride though (injured?) although he did the commentary instead).

Will have to see if i've any pics lyin about.

These are beautiful pics. It was those old skatepark pics. of kids doing huge table tops out of bowls that got me really buzzed. One hand one footer back in '82 was really ahead of it's time, especially in a pool with tiles and coping. Very cool!!!  Still looks killer in 2006. Oh....and that MAX seat cover on Fiola's uniseat...those were the dogs booolooocks in my mind, I sent off a check to the USA for one but never recieved it...gutted. I bet they go for some good $$$ on ebay.

If you take a closer look at the picture of Fiola, in the background you will see Bob Haro (nice shorts Bob), Bob Morales and Wood Itson - TJ

Top pics..........but even though it says upland in the mag pic it's not........its skatecity whittier (see sk8 websites) You can tell as upland had tiny blue tiles...Whittier had vertical orietated tiles, diff colour combos for each pool. They had 5 total!!!!!! Keyhole, steel top full-pipe with tile and coping bowl ends, capsule, combi and this one is the peanut. As skatecity closed in 82 ..it dates the pic.
