Title: painting rims?

anyone done it before?

I have a build on the go but the rims are completely the wrong colour, was thinking of either sanding priming then spraying the whole rim or just the area that doesn't have contact with the brake blocks. Just have a picture in my head of the brakes stripping the paint from the rims!!

I got Dan to powder the rims on my Falcon Pro and they came out a treat!  :daumenhoch:

Unfortunately, if you apply brakes to any painted/powdered/anodised surface, it will eventually wear through it but that's when you shiny side the rims!  :)

i havent but many have
you could get dan to powder some and its much tuffer than rattlecan and looks great tbh

yes the brakes will strip the paint thats unavoidable
you could paint and then shineside

Powder coating is a no no, while I know of a good powder coater round these parts the thought of rebuilding the wheel puts me off massively!

Shiny side won't look right so I might keep the contact part as is (currently white paint) and paint the non contact part.
