I think he was hoping it would go through the roof looking at his additional comments, but went for a good price in the end.

My bid was just under the winning bid...., and it was not far from me too ::)

$600 is at the low end of the scale. Chrome $1000+. Theres a white f&f without the chrome rear triangle for sale at the moment for $1000 (all USD)

Saw that, Never bid, Only 10 mins away from me aswell. Wonder if it came from Superbike in Ilford?

We got it in the end, I say we, my neighbour Paul and I, joint project for MK, both wanted one so gone in as a partnership on this, Stella (jason) walked away, we stepped in and bought it last night. I have the serial here RE003440 (subwax goes over it here, looks like its an 85: http://www.vintagebmx.com/community/lofiversion/index.php/t3009821.html), underneath is the redline oval stamp, all looks legit. Chrome is shot but condition overall is fine, we will aim to get it rechromed soon, polishing will be a bugger though with those top tubes. Will also strip and sell most/all of the bits from it to get some dosh back for the rechrome. Certainly isn't a cut/shot job. Will keep you lot posted ;)

Nice one Matt, glad to see you got it, now do it some justice :daumenhoch:

Nice score and great bikes to ride as did have one here and nice and long , if move the chainwheel on let us know
-
Thanks lads, i'll be splitting tonight and cleaning everything up. Here's a pic of the rear standers, serial and bars. I think the bars might be Kuwahara Exhibitionist bars, they look identical to the ones I sold a few years back, same rise etc... be good to get some clarity on those.

It's an 85, they changed the shape of the standers after that. Does it have any paint in the head tube or bottom bracket?
-

Hi there, I've just stripped it back, can't see any paint in the bottom bracket at all, must have been a chrome one! :daumenhoch:
As for the bars Glen, yeah they could be, i'll keep researching those ;)
