Nitromors wouldn't shift the clear lacquer on a frame of mine, must have been a crap paint job!

Top tip though. I have been meaning to strip a frame of its paint for a while now and after reading all the reports about Nitromors being so pathetic these days i had almost given up hope. This stuff looks like its the mutts nuts and you have done a sterling job on the crank arms  :daumenhoch:
Title: Re: SYNSTRIP...LOVERLY STUFF..
Post by: dordymush on January 25, 2013, 12:22 AM
i left a pair of crank arms in nitromors for a full night just see if it would do anything.
got up the next morning and the paint had hardly bubbled.
total shite and waste of money  :tickedoff:

i've used the yellow tinned stuff on paint

some things the factory paint came off with no problem and others it hasn't touched.

i'll get some of this synstrip though if i need anything else doing

Agreed!!  The raw finish looks great!  But would look full on "wammo" if you could stretch to get them chromed!  :daumenhoch:

What's the dilemma?  Can of lacquer £4 - chrome £40+ = no-brainer.   :daumenhoch:

chrome or lacquer   :-\    it all depends on the frame and forks / colour scheame .... lacquer might be the cheaper option but that few extra quid spent some times has to be done for the right finnish.... another thing to take into account is the chromer used ........ the "we the people " is nice and visable at the moment ... if you go down the chromer route you need to make sure he doesnt do to thick a chrome other wise you may loose that "look"   what ever you do they are loverly crank arms for sure  :daumenhoch:
