Title: Hello!
Post by: restorich on January 29, 2013, 02:03 AM
Hi, what a great site! Joined the other day and am already addicted so thought i'd better say hello. I decided to join after having a look at some amazing bikes and got me all excited about BMX again after years of riding non bmx bikes,KTM's and VW's. Dusted off my old cruiser last week and went to see Richard at Urban Air in Ilkeston (sound bloke and good shop too) to ask for help to identify my f&f which came complete from my local tip about 8 years ago. Have now confirmed it's a Curtis cruiser so Richard was right  ;D So now i'm in the process of ordering some decals off Del then change the bars etc etc etc

I had the privelege of speaking to Brian the other day  :) he was great and very helpful. Still brazing all the frames too! I knew it was a quality frame/bike when i saw it and had to have it. It was in a bad way and the chrome wasn't too good with no stickers either. If i knew about oxalic acid stuff then i would have tried it... Hindsight eh  ::) I have changed the rims, tyres, chain, chainring, seat, post, levers and added the front brake. Got a few plans for it so will add photos and give her a proper clean too. Cheers
