None of them are hard to locate, that should be a really easy build.
-
Even the grips and tyres ?

Even the grips and tyres ?
A set of those tyres were on ebay.com last week and you can usually find a set on BMX Museum for sale.
-
I've got one of those SR cro-mo cranks :daumenhoch:

What are the rear dropouts like on these? I've seen pro series with 3 holes, gt pro with 3 holes, match one with 3 holes..then I've seen the same frames with 4 holes ? I had what I think was a pro series? Then I was told, it's a match one? Then was told is was a pro because of the top tube length!! Got rid of it in the end.. Sold it as a gt confused. :)
-
The US made Pro were the same as the Mach One, just trim that was different; however, the forks changed later to have cut outs near the drop outs. Has 3 holes and a 4 stamped next to frame number on rear drop out.
The Expert was shorter, has either a 2 or 3 stamped next to frame number (can't remember which)
That's how I remember it.
-
Nick,What do you mean by trim? Hope this isn't a daft question :)

parts fitted to the bike when sold as a full bike

If you look here, the Mach One is the same F&F but has lesser parts. Look at the price   :'(

So to build a rep of the yellow team series I'd need an 84 Pro frame with three holes in the drop out and the serial number to start with a 4 ?

No the 4 is not part of the serial number, like on a Performer which has FS stamped to one side.
I'm not sure which frame the Team Series was, ask Pete Quad, he had one.
-
Here you can see the serial number along the top (just a coincidence it starts with a 4). Then down and left is a lone number 4, this shows it's a pro frame.

Which one?
The advert or the one of mine?
Mine - no they are Ukai but I think they are known as box rims. I couldn't find any NOS speed lines when I built mine so NOS box rims from the US did instead.
And lovely they are too.
Advert - yes
-
Nick
Do you have an official parts list for the Team Series in that Ad ?
-
No but most of the info is written down the left hand side of the ad :daumenhoch:
-
Sealed BB and a 2.1 up front, never found the grips, Infact I have only seen one set of them, Craig clump had em and cut em up
-
Thought the grips would be the "grail" part :'(
-
Get a pic up of your F&F fella. :daumenhoch:
