I know Woody had the frame made last year but he's just posted a piccy of it built
Made by Standard Byke

original TS Geometry with an inch added to the front end. Internal headset and 990's on the front and rear. Everything else is the same as it was back in the 80's. I sent Rick an old TS frame to jig to make sure it was correct and he did a great job.

Cool as,love it :coolsmiley:
-
so THAT'S a Looptail :daumenhoch:
-
Nice... I'd love a TS with a longer tt
-
Normally try and avoid negative posts but for me that extra inch at the front makes the gap between the front wheel and the downtube look massive and a bit odd :-X
Maybe its the forks? :-\
-
All nice apart from the ugly big pegs.

+1
Although it's very nice indeed that's the first thing you notice
-
Like that.. :daumenhoch:
-
I'm with Adam, awful pegs, lovely colour though. :daumenhoch:
-
I see he still relies on an SST Seatpost, even if it is 30 odd years old. That's half the reason they're so expensive, quality costs.
-
Wonder if it will mass produced and chucked in a nice box,for the price of a small car?
-
I am moist
-
jt they dont cost silly money,i had a cutom or 2 done and only cost the same as a quality one off the shelf.
-
i will get a quote as ive had 3 mails if anyones interested.
-
It just looks a bit wrong for some reason? The pegs are hideous IMO
I think it will be a grower though? Maybe it just needs the pegs putting back on the forks :-\
-
That is just a Kappa Starsky isn't it? :knuppel2:
Nothing new there Woody, should have got a Kappa 7 years ago mate.
-
Yep!(http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/a469/Poochy_06/7d84a08edb45ab977836bfaa824b5026.jpg)

standard made this for woody recently, its a modern geo bike so the head angle is different but super strong.
you can get the fork pegs added but woody wanted regular pegs.
rick allison also has a modern version like mine .

Quality doesn't have to cost....
Decals are readily available from Mark at retrospect :LolLolLolLol:
-
I like it. I think the forks could be made shorter so it reduces the gap a bit. :daumenhoch:
The 24" skyway ta's look wrong in the same area. With a massive gap between the downtube and the front wheel.
-
you can have it made identical to the original, woody chose this length.
-
Prefer the look of the Kappa personally, something really weird looking about the Woody Trick Star.

This is correct I contacted Standard about making a one off frame with a trickstar front & a few other bits I wanted, it was only around $550 + shipping.
If shipping + the import duty were not such a cost I would get one, I may still do 8)
Standard do some great stuff :coolsmiley: :coolsmiley:
