Hmmm thats a lot for a burner even if it is nos. Bidding seems bloody high considering the time left.  :-\

Also £740 for the ultra burner

If it is legit bidding he has found himself a goldmine there. Those nos He Man items should fetch a decent amount too

Looks right enough to me.  This hobby is all about recapturing your childhood and the Burner was a bike that most kids from working-class families would have been happy to receive as a Christmas pressie.

Not sure how you can put a definitive price on something so nostalgic.   :-\

My thoughts exactly. Anyone can see that bike has been rolling on those tyres. Im not saying its been "used" but its definitely been out the box and rolled around at some stage.

Is the bid for how much he will pay someone to skip it?

If you look at the Ultra Burner listing, you can see that the box doesn't have a bottom in it and I assume they've been pushed around (a scruffy warehouse?) at various times when they've been moved from place to place.

The red Burner's box is also wide open and the bike itself looks like it has around thirty years worth of dust on it.  Much easier to push a bike than hump a bike-sized box around.   :daumenhoch:

You are right but no probs with the Oakley copies being on there.

Mk1 burners came as "phase 1s" early on with the black foam grips, and "phase 2s" a bit later with the dotted Oakley copy style.

Pedals on the entry level models also changed from rat traps on the phase 1s to black plastic Maxy-Cross on the phase 2s.
