Hi All,
I've managed to source a '95 RL240 frame NOS and am wondering whats its true value might be. Having riden a mongoose for many years (my junior) I'm keen to get it fixed up to its former glory. HOWEVER, as with everything at the moment, i'm being cautious with the £'s! although i'm willing to build it up and enjoy the end product, i'm not keen on spending a shed load more that what it's end value might be. SO, before i get too far down the line, i'm curious as to what its value might be now. Many thanks, hope the above makes sense!!! Ron!

Funny that - I've just split mine and still got some bits in the garage.
They were a mid range bike BITD but were quite long in the TT area for the era. I had been riding mine for a couple of years until this weeks split - quite a decent ride.
Value. Hmm, dunno. But I say if you're feeling, it's build it - don't worry about end value.
**thread high jack - I'll be putting my F&F in the for sales soon**

One for sale here :daumenhoch:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l2736&_nkw=redline+rl+240
bit strong if you ask me.The price would probably be more realistic if it included the forks

That one is the earlier version - the frame standing thing meets the top tube differently. Is it rarer than the later one? I dunno, but I agree - it looks way overpriced.
Here's a pic of mine before I split it.

Is it the 240 or the 240 freestyle. most of the bits are pretty easy to find but the freestyle had a weird centre pull caliper on thats hard to get hold of. As for how much its worth hopefully millions and billions as I have a 94 freestyle but I doubt it.

its a 240 freestyle, the finish of the bike in the pic looks good, shame it split on ya!
