They are nowhere near as good as flights, that is the problem though, you can find flights (and Profile, Cook Bros etc) for sale as they were/are well made and are still in good working order.
Hutch cranks are shite and snapped all the time, which means there are not very many in working order.
-
Glad I've got two sets. 8)
-
Sean is absolutely correct. They were shite so most of them broke.
Redlines and cooks were what the pro's ended up riding as they lasted the course. :daumenhoch:
-
I think even Mike Miranda used another brand when he was on Hutch for that very reason.
-
Miranda used Profile box cranks on the track and fitted Aerospeeds for the adverts etc

thats crazy.... but if people have the money and are stoopid enough to buy em....

rumour has it, but rock chick was selling fakes a few years ago :police:

you talking about the famous Biagiospeeds

you talking about the famous Biagiospeeds
Remember they were actually called Xanderspeeds before that with the legend :knuppel2: that is Sand and Dirt (a name from the distant past eh?)
-
anyone got piccies of the biagiospeeds ?
-
i'm not a hutch fan and they may have been unreliable but they are the
best looking old school cranks.
-
unfair to compare that shite to anything campagnolo tetsuoooooo
-
Not the best looking but I'd say a complete Clemtwin set up would be in that sort of ball park too. (price wise)
-
i know ash,but they were a strange gimmick type which probably explains why there hardly is any.
-
What I never worked out is that Hutch had quality goods bitd (whether you like Hutch or not), their stems were ace, I rode with the pedals for years and have the scars to prove it, amazing hubs, frames, forks, bars, clamps etc etc etc all really top quality stuff.
But they bring out Aerospeed cranks are they are basically awful rubbish. I am talking build quality not looks as the look really nice.
-
whoever came up with that spindle design must have been on crack.if they had just used
a profile type like the jdb's use now.

I quite like the Clemtwin cranks even if are a little 'beefy' but as you say Ash, Fookin rare.

You can find the crank or atleast a single arm pretty easily, but finding the BB, left arm and the hub is a tall order.
