This will no doubt sound like im stupid to most of you. But i never used 80's DX levers before , so just want to check on how to cable them up correctly.
Do i have to remove the actual lever and thread the cable into it, like on 90's DX's?

Bend the clamp all the way back, rub the end of the lever whilst humming the Cagney & Lacey theme tune, turn around 3 times then walk backwards to the areas of your house that you dont normally go to.

I'm sure you remove the outer cable, thread the inner through from the front of lever and then replace the outer bro :daumenhoch:

My mate had one and I think lhb above is right. Kinda like a DX V brake lever. I think also the cable barrell is a small standard one, not the big one you would use with os Tech3s.

just pull a few inches of the inner cable from the sleave and put it through the gap and hook over.
