Ive got a set of early powerbites Im considering shifting. Was saving them for a T-1 build but have decided to not build up the frame as its a NOS 1st gen Barcode. :smitten: Anyway, want to move the cranks on now but not sure what to ask for them? Anyone bought or sold some recently?

Got a pic You can put up? :daumenhoch:

Will dig them out the garage tomorrow and snap a pic. Pretty much look like this though (but with 10 years of dust and sweat on them :LolLolLolLol:)

There's a polished set on ebay at the moment.
I recently bought a set from ebay for £19 plus postage, Came with sprocket and pedals (Stuck in arms) Got the pedal out no problems. Jim C magnesium pedals.
I sold a set at MK12 for I think £40.
Any ideas how many different types of powerbites there are?
I have a set, Which I think has no pedal insert, The recently bought set, With the insert just fitted from the back of crank arm and a couple of sets with inserts fitted from the front with a lock type ring on the rear.

the last set i bought were off ebay and a good tidy set in black.
again with a pedal stuck.but with a bit of lump hammer action it came out ok.
26 posted.
im after another set if there not mental money.

As far as I know there were Three main versions of the Powerbites, 1st gen had a solid axle & no pedal inserts, 2nd gen with 1pce pedal inserts & later a hollow axle, 3rd gen 2pce pedal inserts, hollow axle, drilled for rhd/lhd & at some point I think various small changes to the shape of the arms around the sprocket bolt area to allow smaller sprockets. Then there was the slimmer, lighter Hollowbites.

I got a set off ebay £35 delivered, rubbing them down to use as fake GT power bites for my 89 pro series :-X
-
I bought a set a little while ago from here for £35 and the BB turned out to be unusable so watch for that guys. A new BB is £20 so add that to cranks.
They now look like this :daumenhoch:
