Really sorry you didn't get them Steve  :(

Yep got to agree  cheaper than usual , I'd normally think they were anything from £600 to £750 to land em

Infact the were cheaper than I've seen  Campy Sheriff stars  go for

For under £500 someone got a bargain , wish I'd have had a bid now  :D

Edit  : Didn't look closely at em , missing logo ?  :-\
Fingers crossed you'll get some nicer ones for the same money  :daumenhoch:, sometimes you can miss out for the right reason Steve    ;)

I would have said the going rate was about £500-£600.

I wasn't gonna bid any higher than i did as when i enlarged the side pic i couldn't see any logo side etchings  :-\

Would like a set to go on the white Changa (then i might leave it alone)

I bought them  :coolsmiley:  And I as got them 'cheap', I gave him an extra £1000 just to keep the price of these "really well known, used by loads of kids back in the 80's hubs" at the price they deserve to be at  :daumenhoch:

I do, they used to run really small ads in the mags were hard to get and were considered very niche.  I didn't know anyone who had them bitd, most UK riders were using Campag or DuraAce hubs.

My only comment on this high priced parts fest is

I wouldn't want his eBay invoice for this months fees

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest as there is nowhere else where you could sell that gear for those prices.  (Neil is banned from this site BTW)  He should clear £400 for the hubs (by the time Paypal ream his @ss) and I doubt very much that he paid anywhere near that for them.

Fees used to be capped at £40 so the high-value items shouldn't attract any more commission than that.

He's been in the game for quite a while so he probably bought this stuff before prices went mental so it seems like he is on to a winner IMO.

Some of his more mundane stuff is doing good money as well so his PP balance will be bulging and eBay will lift the money directly out of there so it shouldn't hurt too much.   :daumenhoch:

Exactly that, lusted after them in the ad's but never saw them in the flesh.

You could say the same for loads of brands.
It all depended on your local bike shops, your budget, your circle of friends, the mag's you read.....

I'd never heard the likes of, Vincent, Rickman, MT Fox, TRM and many others until i joined this site  :-\ so it just goes to show.

He paid a fair bit of money for his stuff cos he would just overbid everyone so I`m not sure he is making lots of profit on his stuff, the fact he hasn`t got a clue probably never helped either, ask him what knurling is   :LolLolLolLol:

I think he fell out with the site owners and stuff got said that can't be taken back.   :(

i met him at MK about 5 years ago and he came across as a decent fella but he
has a rep as a bit of an angry keyboard warrior type.
