Hi Guys,
Some of you may have seen my Blue and Grey Two Tone Streetbeat. Well I couldn't stop there.
So introducing my Grail Streetbeat Number 2:
First off the thankyou's.
Biggest Thanks to Rob, Pickle for allowing me to take this NOS Green and White Frame off his hands as well as letting me have my original
powerdisc that I sold him, back.
Big thanks to SBD for the paint job on all the parts as well as correcting some of the frames defects. Spot on job as always.
Del for the decals as well as the following members for their input in sourcing the parts. If Ive forgot anyone, sorry.
Deeman
Devilock
Poolysherriff
JamyC
Meticulous
Darren KAP
Kilaja
Ok, tried to do this factory spec again like my previous build using NOS parts as follows:
NOS 86 Skyway Streetbeat Frame and Forks
NOS Skyway Tuff 2's UK Made
NOS Cheng Shin 20x1.75 Tyres
NOS Skyway Powerdisc
NOS Sugino 43T Chainring
NOS Skyway Hot Seat in Green
NOS Cr-Mo Seat Post
NOS Odyssey Seat Post Clamp
NOS Odyssey Sysyem 2000 Calipers
NOS Dia Compe Tech 5s
NOS 86 Dated Dia Compe Cables
NOS Skyway Spinmaster
NOS SR Tubular OPC
NOS Skyway Tuff Freestyle Brake Blocks
NOS Victor DX Pedals
AME Bubble Font Grips
Skyway EZ2 Bars
Skyway Stem
Again, the camera doesnt't do it justice, it looks much deeper in colour in the flesh.
Many thanks, comments good or bad appreciated.
Steve. :)

The chrome beat is definately being moved on I'm afraid.. :-\
The good news is, and some people have been hinting on this post already, is that I already have something else that I think tops
these two.....watch this space for 'The Three Amigos'... :coolsmiley:

Steve,
I'm not really into streetbeats mate but I have to say, as Adam says, your attention to detailing on putting these together is very impressive. You build some lovely bikes mate,
Well done :4_17_5:
-
Many thanks. :daumenhoch:
It's took close on a year to get all the correct parts for this and get it built to almost factory spec, same too with the blue and grey one.
I've built Streetbeats since joining rad but having been on here for so long now I have become completely anal about building them just right.
I have broke up my original white one and my baby blue one and shifted them on because I just wasn't happy with them anymore.
They were 'wrong' on quite a few levels really. Nice to look at but totally non era correct.
Anyway, thanks for the comments. Not long now and No.3 will be making an appearance. :coolsmiley:
Cheers steve.
-
amazing jobs on both. the grey/baby blue streetbeat is up there with my fav bike's of all time.
:4_17_5:
-
them bikes are stunning steve :smitten: look forward to whats coming :daumenhoch:
-
Heh Steve
I thought the grey one was the best Street beat I'd seen, but I think the green/white combo has pipped it for me ;)
That's just crazy levell of attention to detail I could never manage :P
:smitten:
-

-
dont mention the stem :LolLolLolLol: see if anyone can spot it ::)
did you paint the green for the top on the bottom Dan ???
i or we did, it was labelled green base and top white when it should have been the other way round, anyways
a quick strip and all was good again :LolLolLolLol:
-
We all know whose fault it was........the person in charge of labelling the bits!!
This is the little culprit:
