Title: Chase hawk 2.4 experience - too slippery ?
Post by: Rake722 on March 24, 2013, 01:23 PM
Just loaded some of these and headed to the rampworx and find them way too slippy.

Need to know if this is a case of them needing wearing in or are they just not suitable for park with ply ramps ?

They were slipping out form under me dropping in and riding the bowl not even aggressively

Any info gladly received

First time I rode my 2.2 version, They nearly killed me. Borrowed some sand paper and spent 5mins sanding them down. Been alright since then. Although they seem a bit slower than my Fit FAF's :daumenhoch:

Thanks chaps.
The guys on vital Bmx suggested I Bought the wrong tyres for park as they are ultra slicks.
My options are to sell as only used once or scuff up and ride.

Clearance is also an issue. Need to add a link to my chain to keep em off the frame on the back

Bought a 2.4 for the front of mine the other day.

First flat bank I rode up I slid out and ended up on my side.

Could've been loads worse. took it straight off and chucked it in back of my garage (with the Springfailed) and there its gonna stay.

Maybe it'll be worth something in 10yrs time. Haha

Slide-out the faith. L

Clearance is also an issue.

Weird, you'd think a 2.4 would be fine.
