Title: Anyone familiar with this type of Mitsuboshi tyre?
Post by: hotdog on March 28, 2013, 07:36 AM
I'm looking for one of these tyres in a 26". It's a Silver Star Mitsuboshi but that's about all I know. Any clues as to the year of manufacture?
Cheers,Tim

Hey Tim, looks like the tyres they put on the beach cruiser style bikes that were popular in the late 70's and early 80's (the ones that pre-dated proper cruisers iirc).  Do you have a pic of the logo?

There is no logo,Marty. Just the embossed Mitsuboshi Silver Star name and size of tyre. I thought they were early too. I wonder how hard they are to source?

Tim, it's a Mistsuboshi Bruiser, late 70's early 80's.  I've not seen them for sale in recent years, maybe the US sites would be an option?
