Title: ACS Stoker
Post by: factory pilot on April 07, 2013, 07:27 PM
Hi guys,
I've searched the forum and the internet for some info but it all seems very limited.
I've all but given up on finding a blue shotgun I or II saddle  for my latest build. With shillers and sheisters making the seats cost over £300 I've decided to search for alternatives.
I'm seriously thinking about a ACS Stoker with built in seatpost. Has anyone had any experience...good or bad with these saddles ? Are the seatposts the correct width or do you need a shim? Does the angle of the seat 'work' with most frames or only certain ones ? It's going to be on a show pony so comfort issues are only a secondary concern ;)

cheers for all your help and info as ever lads  :daumenhoch:

Risky due to the fixed seat post, what frame are you thinking of fitting it to?

In my opinion i'd wait, especially if you're building a replica, one will turn up...

I had a really nice blue which i bought for my Freeagent rider, it didn't work on that frame sadly as the seat was pointing down. I sold it or traded it with Sawzall for something years back. Really nice seat but they only work with certain frames.

poolysheriff was selling the blue one
i have a red one
nice combo. the seat is identical to an elina flyte tech but with an integrated post
they from 82ish so not a bad choice for a gen 1 not sure what one would look like on it tho

Yeah it's the '82' era correctness that interests me..... did they ever make one that was adjustable as well ?
I saw a Mike Buff Ripper build with a blue one  it and it looked sweet but I guess it's all down to angles  :(

Really not being funny but ,why ?
The frame is from 2012
So that's really contradicting and a  bit of a pointless exercise  seems a far better idea to put all reproduction parts on
and it will look better
