Plenty of elbow grease required on this one. :daumenhoch:

Great find Matt, 8)
I still check the tip on the odd occasion I go there but have never seen anything remotely old school (not sure I'd spot a mid or new school higher end/rare bike).

great save - thats superb :daumenhoch:
I used to check the tip, but we are not allowed to save anything anymore and the bikes HAVE to be put straight into the metal waste :'(
saw a superb specialized mountain bike in the metal recycling a couple of weeks ago (full sus, hydraulic disc brakes etc, looked almost new!) but the guys flat out refused to allow me to have/buy it >:( and instead dumped a fecking great big steel drum on top of it in front of me...... :wtf:

Health and saftey apparently. Our county does not now allow bikes to be given/sold in case someone hurts themselves on one of the bikes and tries to sue the county council ...!!!
Its been that way for 4 years at the Poole tip, and now they implemented the same cr4p at our local one too. I was SO cross but the tip guys couldn't give a sh1t...
now, if you want a golf club.......they've go millions of em! ::) >:(

surely they just need to get people to sign a document saying they're not responsible for the condition of the bike? it's a no brainer ???
