So I was in B&Q buying some wet and dry paper and having a general browse when I walked past the kitchen / bedroom unit furniture legs and had an idea...
Heres the leg

I pulled out the adjuster...

Wrapped some masking tape to soften the edge...

It fits perfectly... But a tad long - they did sell shorter ones but I wanted to be safe (a little too safe)

A couple of taps with the mallet and hey presto!!!

Not bad for a few quid  ;)
Please don't all queue up and tell me this is the 112th time someone has posted this idea  ;D

Thats a pretty cool little contraption youve found there Chris!  :daumenhoch:

Good find.  I have a short length of scaffolding for the job.

			-
The shorter leg was about £2.50 and would fit in my toolkit better but it did the job and the fit is perfect.

				Nice one!  :daumenhoch:
I thought of doing the exact same thing a while a go but I didn't know if it would fit.
What diameter tubing is it?

Bargain... So will you be using the fork as the other table leg?

			-
Spot on that. We had a bitd tool what resembled to video head drums that slid down, but, that looks a lot better. Good find. Now, if you can mod it to fit frame cups too, then your one a winner.

32mm diameter.  I bought the 300mm leg but theres 100, 200mm etc.  Seeing as most forks measure c.150-160mm the 200mm would be your best bet  :daumenhoch:

Two thick, large round washers and a long coarse threaded nut and bolt. They will pull the cups evenly as you do it up  :daumenhoch:
