Title: 1978 SE Racing BD III *Number 2*
Post by: kungfunky on April 17, 2013, 11:25 AM: With little Little on her way in August I thought I'd try and get a couple of bikes built up before all the chaos ::)

Had this frame set for 4 years and done nothing with it other than admire it or keep it in storage, so I figure let's get some parts on it. 8)
It's part inspired by Mike King's BD III and part tribute to the late Sandy Finkleman (pioneer of BMX and founder of one the coolest race teams and shops ever Wheels N Things).

I'll be changing a few parts before long like the wheels for some 7b's on Phil Wood hubs, grips for Oakley .5's, the 44t chainring for a 40t and I'll probably take an inch of the cable and I might add a race plate at some point. Other than that it's one of my fave vintage SE's 2 of these are known to be in the UK so it's a pretty rare thing :daumenhoch:

Rich it's 2" shorter than a PK Ripper at 17. They are small frames and the same dimensions as the mini Ripper :daumenhoch:
