Title: PK Ripper - Price and Age?

Evening gents,
                     I've been offered a pk ripper frame & forks (not by a member on here) and would really appreciate some advice on it please?   It's black with gold lettering and I'm told is from the early 80's but is there any way you date them from the serial number or frame?    It doesn't have the seat clamp incorporated in the frame and I think it has un-stamped landing gear forks.

I'm going to see it tomorrow - apart from checking for cracks and signs of welding etc - is there anything particular I should be looking for?      What would be a reasonable price for an early 80's pk ripper frame & forks?

Any help/pointers you can give would be much appreciated
