got some chrome forks but got some sort of coating on them a lacquer or
Plastic film on them , comes off with a blade but still
has bits left behind , takes fookin ages
any chemicals out there ?? Thanks :)

:) Bit obvious but try paint stripper.

I had the same lacquer over the chrome on my supercross... that SynStrip stuff took it of a treat :daumenhoch:

i had some on a set of ruption forks i got.
i put a bit of nitromors on it and left it a couple of minutes then used wire wool on em.
came off easy and nice shiny forks underneath
