After much deliberation (in my own head)
I have decided on a build
I will only be doing one special bike and have decided on an exact copy of this
Can i have some input please, how easy some of the parts may be to get or not get ?, am i being a bit adventurus..?
Thanks in advance
Lee

I'm sure Rom Bloke, admin on here, built an exact replica of that bike. I'm sure that was when prices were still sensible. Dread to think what it would cost to build now.
-
Getting those exact tyres might be difficult especially the rear and the Hadley BB in gold will be tricky.
Good luck :daumenhoch:
-
Sound expensive, but great fun hunting down some of those parts.
Good luck :daumenhoch:
-
if your starting fron scratch then you will have to put at least £3.5k on one side, then expect at least 12 months to source all the right parts, it can be very daunting.
-
Yep expenisve, but nice bike when finished :daumenhoch:
-
I have one , pretty much 100% couple minor things missing, chain and decal
very hard mate, but if you have the cash go for it
things to watch for are
gold hadley bb
cycle pro snakebelly tyre
rear graphite coaster skyway
early blue shotgun seat
early blue haro pads (stem)
good luck

A mate of mine has been after the seat for over 2 years now and still no joy. It's the final piece of the jigsaw.
-
Patience & money needed here Lee...
Prove everyone wrong...!!
-
Good Luck! :daumenhoch:
To use my wife's phrase, "It'll look nice when it's finished."
-
Good luck with that one Lee :daumenhoch:
If you stay off the Pinot Grigio for 13 months i have worked it out you will just be able to afford it :D

One of my old ones was on ebay a few months ago, so they're about & Dom had 3 or 4 or these seats :daumenhoch:
That will be a great build, very hard but if you have the spare money, then go for it, my Bob Haro Master Rep took me about 5 years to complete :)

there's one of them brake levers on the bay lee......

I admire you wanting to build a bike that will be difficult to source the parts.
They will appear at some stage, but if you really want to do an 'exact replica' then you will need to do some serious searching and have an incredible amount of patience. However you already know this Lee.
There are a number of us on here that have built bikes that have taken us years to source the parts. It took me 5 years to get the parts I wanted for my R&R build, and I still have some different ideas for it.
Good luck mate :daumenhoch:

Set yourself a challenge there Lee , good luck . :daumenhoch:
