Title: What PSI should I be running in the tyres of this new school bike of mine ???
Post by: Funkyworm on April 29, 2013, 04:39 PM: Ok this new school fangled Subrosa thingy has tyres on it that say they go to 100psi

i'M 5'11 & (currently) a-hem just under 14 stone , So what should i run them at ??? & would it depend on where i'm riding ie hi-pressure for smooth park etc & softer on the road of does it simply come down to weight vs comfort vs not under or over inflating???

Also One of the tyres has a flat, if thee tyre goes to 100psi is there a special inner i should be using?

Post by: Spen69 on April 29, 2013, 04:49 PM: High as you dare Callum - bring it to the BR and you can run it about 80PSI first and then up it to 90 and see if it's any faster. Take it to 100 finally and see if it's still comfortable ???

I run mine at 65 as they're only rated to this, but they are well faster with the higher PSI in :daumenhoch:

Post by: paulb113 on April 29, 2013, 05:07 PM: I have also got a new school bike and have 55psi in both but feels too soft, I am 5ft 8,13 stone so may take mine up to 65psi . I have 100psi frequency G tyres in my old school bike at about 80psi and so much faster but shakes the old bones a bit :LolLolLolLol:

Post by: Funkyworm on April 29, 2013, 05:25 PM: I pumped them up to around 80 today 7 after about an hour the front inner gave out around the valve,

Cant get the wheel of as it's got pegs on & i don't have a wrench that will reach through the peg Will look at it tomorrow. but thats why i was asking about inner tubes ??? The tyres should be fine they are Oddy Mike Aitkin front ones bigger than the back i'm assuming this is a usual set up ?

You're actually meant to have at least 120psi in KHE Mac2's for warrantys sake

They don't blow till 220psi
