Been a long time coming, as I haven't turned a spanner in over 12 months.
Anyway, as a by product of clearing out most of my shit from my bro's shop, I finished this off.
Felt good to be tinkering again, just need to replace the down tube decal in the right place and its done.

Looks ok . Pull the bars back a bit and tilt the seat forward and you'll be halfway there .
Is it rideable ?
-
Bars are vertical, how they should be, and the seat fits my arse crack just right.
Everything I build is rideable, I just don't ride them.
How come you sold yours?
-
Very nice... :daumenhoch:

I was merely giving back your advise :-)
Solicitor bill . It was the one that meant the least so it went

me neither...only ever read about them in magazines...
was all to do with who sold what in your area.
alans were our 'local' proper bmx dealer, and he majored on torker and robinsons.
sale cycles in town did a few other bits, which is why i ended up with a kuwahara ( wanted a laserlite, got a nova...)
think most of us followed the same path...1st a burner, then got a subscription to a magazine, and the realisation that you wanted something proper and then a visit to your 'local' to get something more like it.
hutch was always something we aspired too, but my folks didnt like mail order for stuff like bikes, so we got what we had access too.
even though we basically rode trails and home made jumps, everyone i knew always had race bikes.
-
nice Hutch :coolsmiley:
-
About time it made it's way to your 'ouse ::)
Got to admit it looked real nice next to your Nova int shop :smitten:
Both Cool bikes , nice work soldier :coolsmiley:
As you say Jon ,, all down to where you lived and what your local bike shop stocked , or what your mates rode .
They had Hutch at MK Cycles /BoltonBMX centre near me .
Needless to say I wanted one badly in 1983 ,, they had a Black frame with Chrome decals just like this :smitten:
Sooooo Sexy :D :D :D >:D :smitten:

Looking pretty good for someone who was getting out of bmx! Good to see you back ;)
-
dont think i ever said i was getting out?
just took a bit of time out.
sat back having seen some good people come and go, observed the laughable segregation, the aloofness that came with it, and asked a few questions of myself.
:-*

Maybe not out entirely but selling all bar the Laserlite and no more builds but I know exactly what you mean ;)
How's the bed business going?
-
Steady away mate.
The seo guy who took shares in the company turned out to know absolutely fook all about seo, so now have another guy working on it for us. I think that makes it a 'slow burner'
On with other stuff as well, none of which is working out either... :D

Very tidy. :daumenhoch:
