when you rode(or still do) , without being a parts snob what was the best feeling part you had?
for me i had some diamond back expert bars from surrey bmx, they felt right on every bike i put them on, i sold them so i could get some lavender ez copy bars(which snapped).

jive handles, tech 77 levers and the alienation loo seat, probably the comfiest seat ever made in my opinion.
-
MRD expert F&F bitd :smitten: It was bitchin 8)
-
Back then it was when I got some DC Tech 3s, now, I love the feeling every time I ride my A'me Duals on my Renthals. :coolsmiley:

Hutch Pro Pedals: look the part and your feet don't slip off. Perfection.
-
JMC Darrell Young bars, I had them on my race bike all through the 80's. The size and the geometry of them made the bike feel incredible. :smitten: Totally different to any other bars. :4_17_5:
-
My first wide handlebars, Diamond back pro bars from Alpine Sports. They made a huge difference to my racing. :daumenhoch:
-
DX pedals
-
ESP stem. Cool quality stylish and well made. Can remember the day I bought it. Wanted one for ages. Way cooler than a Hutch stem.
Still got it now.
-
Cook Bros cranks, the only cranks I ever used bitd, still the best.
-
Tech 77 lever, GT profiles, 1" pitch forks, and Slam bars are the parts that just felt right to me.
-
my D.Y coupled with my Cook Bros cranks...

Super Pro's. :daumenhoch:

-
Gen 1 GT hubs, just kept on rolling..............

box bars - because i had them long before i ever got my first bike, i'd ride bmx with only the bars :smitten:
-
Powerlite 4pc bars, I did a trade with some dude at play station park in the late 90's! Best bars ever and felt awesome, most of the union boys where riding them at the time :daumenhoch:
-
Skyway freestyle platform... I thought I was king of the world when I got that :smitten:
-
I was made up with me Grafight-X's. :)

From back in the day, as we were a large family and couldn't afford the luxury of expensive parts then, the best parts that I, or my mates ever had are original ODI mushoom grips :smitten: GT Pro bars. The best, most versatile bars ever made imo, Suntour XCII's (Beartraps), Elina flyte tech seat and tech 3 levers :daumenhoch:

There were many small moments in my days riding BMX in my youth.
Getting my Mongoose Californian was the first, then getting some snide CWs (couldnt afford real ones) about a year later. Didnt bother me though as i thought they looked good and made the bike ride miles better. Happy days indeed.
-
I think we all had the same bike :LolLolLolLol:
Agree with Terry on the GT Pro bars, everyone on the propper Mushies and Nick on the MKS Graffites. My Mongoose Californian also had a Supergoose opc that was 10mm longer at 175mm which made a difference.
Best part that ever graced it was my girlfriend's arse sat on the saddle bitd though. now that really taught me how to ride  >:D
-
Best feeling parts BITD robbo pro bars, suntour beartraps. Since riding n racing mid now, you only have to look at my bikes, BOSS bars n crupi pro squares :4_17_5:

For me it was my Diamondback Silver Streak ll frame n forks. Bought complete bike from Alan's in Dec 82.
It had so many parts on and off over the years that either i wasn't happy with or i broke or were damaged beyond repair, but the frame n forks were always reliable.
I swapped it in 87 for a petrol RC car (big mistake) :idiot2:
I'd love another some day :smitten:
