Depends what for really.
For black, rit
If your restoring tuffs in yellow or blue then dylon golden glow or madonna blue.
Rit is hardcore, dylon is a lot more mild.
Bendy is the die king, I'm sure he can elaborate a bit.

what is the material ?
what colour are you going for ?
are you trying to match a certain colour ?

you can find RIT around more than you can find dylon.

But for me Dylon has better and more original colour to what was back in the day - rit has a more modern colours and I find that they don't match as well to what was used on parts back then  ;)
