Basically what goes on next? apart from the obvious handlebars lol
The forks are tightly in place and wont fall out but i don't know what other bits are missing!

supposed to be just the top nut but you have loads too much thread left over there .. you gonna need to cut some off or whack a load of washers on before the top nut
-
Take your pick, Hot or Cold ;D

lol @ above!
Wildon - yes thats what i thought. I guess maybe it was meant to have a gyro which would fill the gap. Ile have to just put spacers on.
-
gyro still wouldnt fill the gap .. they move up and down over the headset
-
yep shouldn`t have that much thread left , you could use spaces but odd that it has so much thread left
-
prob a stupid question but the cup, crown race and bearings are on the bottom of the headtube right?
-
Not a stupid question at all. As far as i know those bits are on the bottom. Whats a crown race tho ? :-[
-
Mind the gap! :D
-
different headsets look different! but essentially you need all these bits

It looks like your fork steerer is too big for your head tube.
Are A-head head tubes smaller than inch ones? I only ask as the Giro lug points to it being a new skool frame which don't usually have threaded forks.
-
Stick a few ahead spacers in then fit top bolt.
-
more pics and info on the bike needed :)

I think you may have it there Bob, 1 1/8th headtube/headset with threaded forks ???
-
It has to be a 1 1/8th headset as it looks to be using a compression ring to take up the slack of the steerer inside the head tube :daumenhoch:
What bike is it?
-
1&1/8 threaded? I've got some mongoose ones, mine has the stem next, then a fook off big top nut to compress it all down, horrible, but works.
May not be enough thread if thats the case....
