Hi
I bent my bars on my FST at Preston so I think I will put the chrome bars for my new bike on my FST, would they fit or are they thinner on new school bikes its a 2011 bike.
The bars I have seen are
Fly Mosca 2006
we the people helium magnum
Sunday triumph
Fly Pantera Sergio Lagos
odysey civilion 41T thermal
Which ones are the best? For a 43 year old almost 14 stone bloke :LolLolLolLol: I am thinking maybe get the highest rise ones?
Thanks :daumenhoch:

Not sure what's best but both the fly bars will be about 3 inches narrower than the others
-
I don't think I will bother with the narrow ones? There were some younger riders at Preston doing all the crazy tricks and they didn't look to have narrow bars.
-
Im not convinced that the new school bars are as strong as the mid school ones. New school stuff is made with weight in mind....everyone wants it as light as possible.
Ive got chrome Hoffman Bama's on mine and you can feel a bit of flex if you push down hard on them. Ok theyre 30" wide so its to be expected at that width, but there are loads of videos on youtube with kids complaining that their bars have snapped....and not even at the welds! And they are probably half the weight of most of us :LolLolLolLol:
Grt yourself some burly midschool 4/6 piece if youre riding hard :daumenhoch:
-
Good advice :LolLolLolLol:
They were copy kneesaver bars so I assume they were made from weak steel? And not cromo.

Slam bars, end of :daumenhoch:

Bone Deth Deadman Bars... 4 piece style ... awesome bars
-
missed some slam bars on Ebay they went for under a tenner :'(
just wanted a cheap pair of ok bars as all the ones listed are less than 20quid in Winstanleys and I was going to put the chrome ones off my new bike on the Haro. All the ones in Winstanleys are cheap due to odd colours.
I could always stick the copy cw bars on the FST and keep the new school bike as it is as bars look pretty good.

Dude, don't skimp when it comes to needing something good to ride with. If you pay a little extra to start, you won't pay more in the long run :daumenhoch:
As Rob says, you cannot go wrong with Slam Bars, the mid/new school version of GT Pro bars (imo) :coolsmiley:

Slam bars, end of :daumenhoch:
What he said :daumenhoch:
I'm of the "more ample frame" build and everyone I've asked has said the same :daumenhoch:

:LolLolLolLol: Sorry Ed
At least they were used for at least four 80s tricks before they died :D
Think I will stick the cw copies on and save up for some decent bars! I am not as big as the girl holding the bars :LolLolLolLol:
