its a gt performer not sure of the year though frame no yc98eo8752 does yc98 mean its 1998 it has bulldog brakes a piston stem stamped gt bars a stubbie gt seat and a huge seat post (http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y399/nitrohopper/IMAG1617_zps2a5abff2.jpg) (http://s1272.photobucket.com/user/nitrohopper/media/IMAG1617_zps2a5abff2.jpg.html)(http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y399/nitrohopper/IMAG1618_zpsc3c511db.jpg) (http://s1272.photobucket.com/user/nitrohopper/media/IMAG1618_zpsc3c511db.jpg.html)

very nice 8)
-
am i right is it a performer is it a 98 is there a gt guru here that can help me out
-
ive had a look through the museum and its looks to be a 96/97 not overly sure but it sure does look like it
-
you're right it's confusing
on one hand: your yc98eo8752 would be MAY 1998
according to the examples on -> http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=71652
" YC96H39112 YC for the factory. 96 for the year 1996. H for the 8th month August. "
" YC4H3221 YC for the factory. 4 for the year 1994. H for the 8th month August. "
on the other hand your're right: already the 1998 models have that ugly banana bend in the upper tube
there's one 1998 that looks like yours (http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=375376) ; but immediately one guy corrects him: you're a 1997, like it better anyway etc.
.......SORRY :D stumped
-
strange mine doesnt have mountings for rear brake at the bottom who knows i dont i will attack the frame no with wire brush and double check it and come back to ya
-
maybe its a Vertigo then. At first i thought also might be Pro Freestyle, but they got the lugs as well..
- look example of 1997 vertigo -> http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/gt_bicycles/61311; of 1998 vertigo -> http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/gt_bicycles/4806
- another 1998 VERTIGO whole bike http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/gt_bicycles/9729 .......pretty much yours..?
etc etc
- http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/gt_bicycles/?year=1996-1999&pg=1&sort=model&d=desc&model=62 <===== all vertigos 1996-99
on this one it seems to have your piston stem -> http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/gt_bicycles/60863
guy writes "Pictured with it's older brother, the 97 Performer." (side by side)
...... so i guess youve got a 98 vertigo then :daumenhoch:
-
